BTS has embarked on their tour as well as other promotional activities related to the release of their latest album ‘ARIRANG.’ Recently, all 7 members of the group featured on a popular YouTube show where they gathered to eat chicken wings, talk about their album and comeback, and have a good time with one another.
BTS talks about their album ‘ARIRANG’
The group featured in the latest episode of ‘First We Feast,’ which featured Sean Evans as the host. All of the members gathered together in order to discuss their latest album, talk about what inspired them, and see how tolerant they are towards spices through chicken wings. The group explained the idea of ‘ARIRANG’ in depth, and when the host asked about the inclusion of the traditional song in their song ‘Body to Body’, Suga was quick to provide an explanation about it. He cited, “To be honest, Korea, in 1988, held the Olympics that year in Seoul. There was a song called ‘Hand in Hand.’ The title for their official song. So we thought of doing a 2026 version of that song, and started from there. Then we thought about sampling other music that’s specific to Korean culture. While going through the list, we then landed on ‘Arirang’ for that.”
BTS explains how they selected the songs for the album
During the interview, while the group was dealing with the high and spicy heat of the chicken wings, the host also asked about how they managed to finalise the 14 songs for their latest album. Talking about the matter, V mentioned that they all had a lot of opinions about the songs and what should be included. Jungkook further added, “To put it simply, we all gathered in one place, and listened to all of the songs, from track 1 to track 100.” He also shared that they would all discuss more and more, and what made them the perfect addition to the album or not. The host also added that there were around 120 songs that they had to choose from and that there were only 14 songs included in the album. V further shared that they had a point-sharing system to rank all of the songs that they listened to in order to see what to include and what not to include.
RM also explains the concept of ‘Namjooning’
On a hilarious note, the host also asked the leader of the group to explain what ‘Namjooning’, a popular term amongst the fandom, meant. RM explained that the term in itself is something that fans use in order to describe when someone goes on a walk, or to a museum, or does an outdoor activity.
