Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan delivered an emotional and engaging speech at the pre-release event of the upcoming film ‘Love Insurance Kompany,’ revealing how actor SJ Suryah played a key role in shaping his journey. ‘LIK’ is a film helmed by Vignesh Shivan, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan. The cast also includes SJ Suryah, Krithi Shetty, Yogi Babu, and Seeman. The film is set for release on April 10, with cinematography by Ravi Varman and music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Pradeep Ranganathan recalls his journey as a fan of Vignesh Shivan
During his speech, Pradeep spoke about his admiration for director Vignesh Shivan from his college days. As reported by The Hindu, he shared a personal memory that connected him to the filmmaker’s work. “When I was in college, I watched ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ with my ex-girlfriend. From that time, I became a big fan of Vignesh Shivan sir,” he said with a smile. Pradeep added that he was surprised when the director approached him for ‘LIK.‘ He explained that he always wanted to make a futuristic film one day. “I had this dream of directing a futuristic movie. When he told me this was a future-based story, I immediately felt excited. In India, there are very few films based on the future,” he said. According to him, once he heard the full story, he was sure he wanted to do the film.
Anirudh’s music and team collaboration excite the actor
Pradeep Ranganathan also spoke about his happiness in working with composer Anirudh Ravichander. He admitted that collaborating with the star musician was always one of his wishes. “When they told me Anirudh was composing the music, my happiness went to another level,” he said. “Everyone in India wants to work with him. I am also an Indian, so I had that dream too. Now it has become real.” He thanked the team and said he enjoyed working with everyone on the project. Praising Anirudh, he added, “We all know his talent, but I saw that he is also a very good human being. People with a good heart always look very cute to me.”

He revealed that after finishing college, he once tried to join SJ Suryah as an assistant director. “I went to his office and gave my resume. They told me to leave, but I didn’t go. I sat on the staircase outside,” he recalled. Pradeep said that moment stayed with him and motivated him to work harder. Today, sharing the screen with SJ Suryah feels special for him. He also hinted that the film has strong entertainment value and expressed hope that it will connect with audiences at the box office. “Working with SJ Suryah sir now feels like a full-circle moment,” he said, adding that the experience changed his life.
